Join us for a Sunday evening of Yin Yoga & Sound Healing with the Auckland Girl community. This slow and nourishing practice is the perfect way to reset after a busy week, release built up tension, and create space for stillness. Together we’ll move through restorative postures, breathe with intention, and rest in sound, leaving you feeling grounded, calm, and reconnected.
The class is beginner friendly and offers a gentle approach to slowing down, softening the body, and calming the mind. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, low on energy, or simply craving some quiet time for yourself, this session will guide you back to your body and breath in a supportive and welcoming space.
Please arrive on time, as the doors will be locked from 7.15pm onwards to avoid disruption during the pranayama.
Where: 1/1 Howe Street, Freemans Bay, Auckland 1011. Please enter through the white door marked SOMM within the Metier Building. Once inside, take the stairs to the top floor.
Parking: Street parking is available on and around Howe Street. We recommend arriving a little early to give yourself time to find a spot nearby.
About the Event: We’ll begin the evening with introductions to help everyone settle in and feel comfortable. You’ll then be guided through a gentle pranayama (alternate nostril breathing) to centre the mind and body before moving into a restorative yin sequence. These floor based postures focus on pelvic opening and target the hips, back, and inner thighs (areas where many of us carry emotional and physical tension). As the body softens, energy begins to flow more freely, leaving you feeling lighter, more spacious, and deeply relaxed.
The evening closes with a soothing sound bath using crystal singing bowls to support deep rest and integration. It is a beautiful way to end your week feeling restored, supported, and nourished from within.
